President Obama has announced that he'll keep nearly ten-thousand U.S. troops in Afghanistan after the end of this year. He said combat operations in Afghanistan will be done by the end of the year, but remaining troops will continue training Afghan security forces and advising on counterterrorism efforts. Most of those will be pulled out by the end of 2016. The President said it is time to bring the nation's longest war to a "responsible end."

NSA super-leaker Edward Snowden says he was actually trained as a spy, with a fake name and everything, for the CIA. He did an interview with Brian Williams and said that the NSA has been calling him a “low-level systems analyst,” but that’s misleading. He said he had a fake identity while he worked overseas, and also worked for the Defense Intelligence Agency. The whole interview airs tonight.

And a guy in Texas just broke the record for the most expensive Starbucks drink ever: $54.75. He got a vanilla bean frapuccino with 60 shots of espresso. The best part? He got it for free because he’s a Gold Card member so this was his free drink reward. The previous most expensive drink was $47.30.

And a 89-year-old woman in Washington state used a golf club to beat off a suspected robber who was wielding a sword. Store owner Miyo Koba was inside Frank's Superette - a business she's owned for more than 60 years - when a man wearing a ski mask and dark glasses swooped in. He pounded on the cash register, pulled out a three-foot sword, and pushed her down. She grabbed a golf club and beat him about the legs. He ran off but took off his clothes first. Police are still looking for him but Granny’s store didn’t get robbed!

And a woman from Nebraska ate two steak dinners in 15 minutes. 5-foot-7, 125-pound mother of four Molly Schulyer not only beat the record for eating a 72-ounce steak, but sliced it in half. The famed stake challenge from The Big Texan Steak Ranch in Amarillo gives a free meal to anyone who can eat he entire 72-ounces in under an hour in one sitting. Joey Chestnut, the former record holder, came in at eight minutes, 52 seconds back in 2008. Schuyler? A smooth four minutes and 58 seconds. She then polished off another steak dinner, this time "not going for time" and cleaning her plate in nine minutes, 59 seconds. She also ate all of the sides to the steak dinner, including a baked potato, shrimp, salad, and a roll.
