The Mayor's Center for Economic Opportunity (CEO) and New York City's Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) are providing the opportunity to participate in a paid 14 week internship, gain real work experience and learn the skills you'll need to land a permanent job or more advanced education.
Think you've got what it takes to jump-start your future?
YAIP is looking for highly motivated, energetic and work-ready youth who also:
- Reside in one o the 5 boroughs of New York City
- Are at least 16 years old but not over 24 years old at the time of application
- Possess a social security number or other legal work document
- Are not currently employed
- Are not currently enrolled in an accredited education or job training program.
YAIP gives you the chance to earn up to $2500 through a paid internship. Through YAIP you'll also get:
- 14 week program that includes training
- Job experience
- Training and career workshops
- Ongoing job support
- 9 months of assistance to help you find a permanent job or continue your education
