Formed in 2005, England's the Ghost Frequency started out working on demos before finally landing the services of drummer Ben Chetwood, at which point the combo began preparations for gigging, the first of which began in 2006. Their shows were well enough received that -- within the year -- the Ghost Frequency had inked a recording deal with City Rockers. The indie label then released the band's first work, a single "Nightmare," which hit the shops in August of 2007. The band then went on tour, as most do, and with Hadouken! spent the rest of the year checking out the crowds around their home nation. A second single, "Never Before Have I Seen a Man Alive That Looks So Exactly Like a Skeleton," was released as 2007 gave way to 2008. Plans for 2008 focused mainly on the band's desire to record and release their debut full-length.
