The Diane Linkletter Experience
The Diane Linkletter Experience
Formed originally as a side project for Gerrymander Bob bassist Scott Jefferson, the Diane Linkletter Experience added to West Chester, Pennsylvania's list of uppity, Superchunk-esque, indie-pop ensembles. With Jefferson providing the role of guitarist/ vocalist the remained of the line-up was fulfilled in 1994 with the accompaniment of drummer Bret Tobias, guitarist Jesse Flavin and bassist Ramone Sender. However, with The Diane Linkletter Experience being a side project, their first release wouldn't see the light of day until three years after they first got together. With the assistance of Vital Cog Records, TDLE self-titled EP came out in 1997 and would have been followed with a full-length hadn't they disbanded not too long after their first seven-inch. A collection of demo recordings and unreleased material eventually became available early in 2000, also courtesy of Vital Cog. The band's long awaited full-length release Too Hard to Disguise followed later that year. ~ Mike DaRonco, Rovi
