A quartet of musicians calling on electronica, synth-pop, and post-punk in equal measures, the Inflatablemen formed in New York in 1998 around vocalist Fisher, synthesizer player Brett Burton, bassist Sean Bryant D., and drummer Chris Guardino (each of them also handle programming). After an EP release in 1998 and dates on their own as well as in support (of acts including Gary Numan, Imperial Teen, and Wire's Colin Newman), the band released their first full-length, Machine Age Romance, in 2003 on the Diver Down label. ~ John Bush, Rovi
