Argentinean heavy metal band Ossiris was formed by bassist Mariano Aita and guitarist Maximiliano Porras in 1998. They were soon joined by drummer Santiago Pieraccini and singer/guitarist German Cuendias. The band made its live debut in October of 1999 at Buenos Aires' Lord Byron English Institute, playing under the name of El Sótano.
