Spanish alternative pop/rock band Garijo Mambrú, name based on a popular comic, got involved in the local scene in 1996, self-producing a demo in 1998, followed by an EP called Four. In the year 2000, Garijo Mambrú signed up to GPSmusic, making the group's debut album, produced by Paco Trinidad.
