Engaging dance/R&B diva Nicole debuted in 1989 with an album for Portrait/Epic called What About Me? The album included her gold single "Don't You Want My Love," written by Aldo Nova and featured on the Ruthless People soundtrack. Later singles "Rock the House" and "Runnin' Away" (a Sly & the Family Stone cover) also did well on the dance charts.
