Kentucky-born, Oregon-based singer/songwriter Ashleigh Flynn's twangy tunes are rooted in the kind of Americana-tinged folk that nods to artists like Devon Sproule and Gillian Welch. Her self-titled debut full-length was released on Home Perm Recordings in 1999. Two more albums followed over the course of the next seven years: 2002's Chokecherry and 2005's Sneakin' Out with Ashleigh Flynn. When she wasn't in the studio laying down tracks, she was on the road, performing at high-profile festivals like ~Bumbershoot, ~SXSW, and ~Bonnaroo, not to mention a dozen or so regional folk festivals. She snagged numerous songwriting awards during this time, and toured the West Coast with artists like Nanci Griffith and Willy Porter.
