Pat Gibbons and Dan Hylton started making music together in 1991, when they began jamming on acoustic guitars in Ames, IA. The duo eventually relocated north to the Twin Cities, where they formed the band 44. That band eventually dissolved, but its presence in the clubs of Minneapolis and St. Paul had whet fans' appetite for Gibbons and Hylton's harmonies. In spring 2002, Pat & Dan decided it was time to record a batch of their songs; by a year later, they'd self-released Camden Garden, a collection of 13 songs featuring their warm, intelligent acoustic sound. The duo supported the effort with gigs in and around the Twin Cities. ~ Johnny Loftus, Rovi
