A lo-fi project that drew on influences as disparate as Iron & Wine, the Books, and the Sea and Cake, the Juliet Kilo began in 2003 when David Levin started making recordings in his basement studio. He released his first Juliet Kilo album a few years later, shortly after he moved from Ohio to Boston. The album was featured on NPR's All Things Considered soon after it was released.
