Lady Gaga may have SEEMED to be on top of the world in 2009 with hit singles all over the radio, but her financial situation was surprisingly very different.
"I had three million dollars in the bank to my name and I threw it all in to make my stage. " Gaga said in the upcoming EPIX original documentary "Who the F**ck is Arthur Fogel?"
Lady Gaga goes on:
"I remember I went home and I was with my dad and he said, 'I don't understand. 'Bad Romance' is out. You are all over the radio. Everyone is talking about you and you don't have a pot to piss in.' I said, 'Just let me do this. Let me just put it on the stage because if I think I can do this I can get Arthur Fogel's attention.' And I did."
Arthur Fogel is the chairman of Live Nation's global touring division and ended up making a life-changing deal with Lady Gaga.
